Oil Change Service in Atlanta, GA

Oil & Filter Change Service

You probably already know that routine oil changes are essential to keeping your Ford performing its very best, but do you know why? The oil in your vehicle provides lubrication for the moving parts within your engine and helps to absorb the heat caused by friction. The problem is that engine oil doesn’t last forever. Over time, it begins to deteriorate and becomes contaminated. When this happens, the oil is less effective at protecting your engine from wear and tear and allows engine parts to rub together. This extra friction adds additional stress on the engine and can lead to serious damage - which often means expensive repairs. The good news is that following your recommended maintenance schedule is an easy way to protect your vehicle's engine and save you money in the long run.

Oil Change Frequently Asked Questions

Want to know more? We answer some of your top oil change questions!

How do I know which oil to use?

The type of oil you should use depends on the model and age of your vehicle. As technology improves and cars become more advanced, so does their maintenance. These days, there are 3 types of oil to choose from - conventional, synthetic blend, or synthetic. If you’re unsure which to choose for your vehicle, we suggest referring to your vehicle’s Owner’s Manual for the preferred type. Additionally, your service advisor will be able to tell you the recommended oil for your Ford. Using the proper grade of engine oil will help keep your car’s engine clean.

How often should I change my oil?

Generally, Ford recommends changing your oil every 7,500 miles/6 months (whichever comes first) for 2008 and newer model-year vehicles, or every 5,000 miles/6 months (whichever comes first) for 2007 and older model-year vehicles. You can also check your Owner’s Manual for the recommended maintenance schedule for your particular model. Additionally, many newer vehicles are equipped with the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor® that will inform you when it’s time for your oil change. Ask your advisor if you have additional questions about oil change intervals.

How much will my oil change cost?

The type of oil required (conventional, synthetic blend, or synthetic) and the oil capacity of your vehicle contribute to the overall cost of your oil change. Synthetic oil is typically the most expensive, and conventional the most affordable. Additionally, an engine with larger displacement generally requires more oil to keep the engine parts properly lubricated. Our service center is proud to offer competitive oil change pricing, including the famous “The Works” Package. We encourage you to check our service coupons for the latest savings!
